The
work carried out in the Hellenistic Stoa Sector in Aleksandria Troas, which is
located in a east subcode of forum, has encountered materials from different
periods. The study of the ceramic groups found in the HS Sector are still going
on. In this study, volute lamps belonging to the group of these ceramics
recovered in the field were studied. These 6 volute lamps, which were found
during the 2014-2015 excavation season, were classified typologically and then
tried to be introduced in chronologically with similar samples. As a result of
our studies, these lamps were dated to 1-2 AD centuries and also it is
understood that they were oil lamps which frequently seen in the Aegean Basin.
