Eğitim Sistemine Katılımın Dayanıklılık Geliştirmedeki Rolü: Suriyeli Göçmen Çocuklar Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Öz

Göçmen çocukların eğitim sistemine katılımının dayanıklılık geliştirme ve sosyal uyumu sağlamadaki rolünü irdeleyen bu çalışma, Darıca ilçesi örnekleminde Suriyeli göçmen çocuklarla gerçekleştirilen saha araştırmasının sonuçlarına dayanmaktadır. Bu çerçevede göçmen çocukların, eğitim sistemi içerisinde bulunmalarının dayanıklılık geliştirmeleri üzerinde bir etkisinin olup olmadığı ve kişisel dayanıklılığın oluşmasına etki eden faktörlerin neler olduğu irdelenmiş ve sosyolojik bir perspektifle tartışılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel analizlerin birlikte kullanıldığı ‘karma yöntem’ tercih edilmiş; likert ölçeği, odak grup görüşmesi ve mülakat teknikleri ile birlikte gömülü teori analizine yer verilmiştir. Araştırmanın hedef kitlesini 13-18 yaş grubundaki öğrenciler oluşturmuş ve toplam 100 öğrenci ile görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama işlemi 13-24 Mayıs 2019 tarihleri arasında tamamlanmış, örneklem grubunu oluşturan öğrenciler dışında, okul yöneticileri, öğretmenler ve ailelerle görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler düşük düzeyli dayanıklılık, orta düzeyli dayanıklılık ve yüksek düzeyli dayanıklılık olarak sınıflandırılmış ve değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmamızın sonuçları bağlamında göçmen çocukların eğitim sistemi içerisinde yer almalarının dayanıklılık geliştirmelerine katkı sağladığı ve sosyal uyumu kolaylaştırdığı bulgulanmıştır.
