Romantik İlişkilerde Dijital Dikkat Dağınıklığı: Partner Sosyotelizmi ile İlişki Doyumu Arasındaki İlişkide Pozitif ve Negatif Duyguların Aracı Rolü

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, partner sosyotelizmi ile ilişki doyumu arasındaki ilişkide pozitif ve negatif duygudurumun aracılık rolünü incelemektir. Araştırmaya 162’si kadın, 159’u erkek olmak üzere 321 üniversite öğrencisi katılmıştır. Katılımcılara Partner Sosyotelizmi Ölçeği, Pozitif ve Negatif Duygu Ölçeği ve İlişki Doyumu Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Verilere Pearson Korelasyon Analizi, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve Paralel Çoklu Aracı Değişken Analizi (PROCESS) uygulanmıştır. Bulgular, partner sosyotelizminin pozitif duygulanımı olumsuz, negatif duygulanımı ise olumlu yönde yordadığını göstermiştir. Ayrıca, pozitif duygulanım ilişki doyumunu artırırken, negatif duygulanım ilişki doyumunu azaltmıştır. Varyans analizi sonuçları, kadınların partner sosyotelizmi ve ilişki doyumu düzeylerinin erkeklere göre anlamlı biçimde daha düşük olduğunu göstermiştir. Aracılık analizi sonuçlarına göre, partner sosyotelizminin ilişki doyumu üzerindeki etkisinde her iki duygudurumun da aracılık rolü bulunmaktadır. Bulgular, dijital dikkat dağınıklığının romantik ilişkilerde duygusal süreçler yoluyla ilişki doyumunu zayıflatabileceğini göstermektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, dijital dikkat dağınıklığının romantik ilişkilerde duygusal dinamikleri zayıflatarak ilişki doyumunu azaltabileceğine işaret etmekte ve dijitalleşen ilişkiler bağlamında duygusal süreçlerin önemine vurgu yapmaktadır.

Digital Distraction in Romantic Relationships: The Mediating Role of Positive and Negative Emotions in the Relationship Between Partner Phubbing and Relationship Satisfaction

Öz

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of positive and negative affect in the relationship between partner phubbing and relationship satisfaction. A total of 321 university students participated in the study, 162 of whom were female and 159 were male. Participants completed the Partner Phubbing Scale, the Positive and Negative Affect Scale, and the Relationship Satisfaction Scale. Pearson Correlation Analysis, One-Way Analysis of Variance, and Parallel Multiple Mediator Variable Analysis (PROCESS) were applied to the data. The findings showed that partner phubbing negatively predicted positive affect and positively predicted negative affect. Furthermore, positive affect increased relationship satisfaction, while negative affect decreased relationship satisfaction. The results of the variance analysis showed that women's levels of partner phubbing and relationship satisfaction were significantly lower than those of men. According to the mediation analysis results, both affect types play a mediating role in the effect of partner phubbing on relationship satisfaction. The findings suggest that digital distraction may weaken relationship satisfaction in romantic relationships through emotional processes. The findings indicate that digital distraction may weaken emotional dynamics in romantic relationships, thereby reducing relationship satisfaction, and emphasize the importance of emotional processes in the context of digital relationships.
