Abstract
Team work based on project management is considered a current issue in modern organizational structure. In this context, the purpose of this research was to identify the levels of team performance components in project teams that generate services related to sports. In total, 8 teams participated in this study. The 8 teams encompassed 75 members. In this descriptive study, “The Team Performance Components Survey” was used to identify team performance. The survey consists of context ,composition, competency and change components. The survey was translated to Turkish using the standard procedure suggested for translate-retranslate method. The views of 7 experts were taken for validity of survey. The level of performance for the third project team was found to be higher than those of other project teams in terms of context-composition and change components and the level of performance for the seventh project team was found to be higher than those of other project teams in terms of competency. It was identified that the eighth project team had the lowest performance level in context-composition component. It was also found that the first project team displayed lower performance levels in competency and change components compared to other teams. As a result, the project teams participated in the study possessed the components of context, composition, competency and change which are important in terms of team performance and they had high levels of performance in general
