KEKİK

Öz

Kekik uçucu yağında ana bileşik olarak karvakrol (veya timol) içeren muhtelif türlerinin genel adıdır. Türkiye dünyanın en çok kekik ihraç ettiği türler, ülkemizin en önemli yabani ürünüdür. Türkiye’nin kekik ihracatının büyük kısmını; (önem sırasına göre) Origanum onites (Türk kekiği, Bilyalı kekik), Origanum vulgare subsp. hirtum (= Origanum heracleoticum) (Yunan kekiği, İstanbul kekiği), Origanum minutiflorum (Yayla kekiği, Sütçüler kekiği) [endemik], Origanum dubium (Beyaz kekik), Origanum syriacum var. bevanii (Israil kekiği)’dir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’deki kekik türlerinin özellikleri ve etkilerinin tanıtılması amaçlanmıştır.
