The book is about the illuminated Islamic manuscripts produced in the lands of Rūm between the 1270s and 1370s. Its origins lie in the author’s doctoral thesis and owing to the area of her study shows an enormous effort to examine the manuscripts of the Medieval period that becomes the subject of this review
