MİMARLIKTA HESAPLAMALI TASARIM VE ÜRETİM YAKLAŞIMLARI: PAVYONLAR ÜZERİNE İNCELEME

Öz

Araştırma; günümüzde mimarlık alanında değişen tasarım ve üretim süreçlerinin sonucu olan hesaplamalı tasarım kavramını ele alarak değiştirdiği üretim yöntemlerini ve geliştirilen malzeme yaklaşımlarını incelemektedir. Bu bağlamda hesaplamalı tasarım iş akışı modellerinin sayısal üretim teknolojileri ile ilişkisinin irdelenmesini ve potansiyellerinin farkına varılmasını hedeflemektedir. Üretim aracı olarak görülen pavyon örneklerinin analizleri ile desteklenmektedir. Hesaplamalı tasarım süreçleri kapsamında üretim süreçlerinin ve araçlarının yanı sıra yeni kavramların ve sınıflandırmaların ortaya çıktığı görülmüştür. Sayısal üretim (digital fabrication) teknolojileri kullanılarak üretilen pavyon örneklerinde, tasarım, malzeme ve iş akışı yaklaşımlarının konvansiyonel tasarım süreçlerinden farklı olduğu gösterilmektedir.

COMPUTATIONAL DESIGN AND FABRICATION APPROACHES IN ARCHITECTURE: REVIEW ON PAVILIONS

Öz

Research; It examines the computational design concept, which is the result of changing design and production processes in the field of architecture, and examines the production methods it has changed and the material approaches developed. In this context, it aims to examine the relationship of computational design workflow models with digital production technologies and to realize their potential. It is supported by the analysis of pavilion samples seen as production tools. It has been observed that new concepts and classifications have emerged in addition to production processes and tools within the scope of computational design processes. In the pavilion samples produced using digital production technologies, it is shown that the design and material approaches are different from conventional design processes.
