Organization Of Special Study Modules Committee In Ege University Faculty Of Medicine

Öz

Special Study Modules (SSMs) Committee was founded in January 2004. This committee planed the working programme. This programme includes collecting of SSMs approvals, student’s preferencies and replacements and follow-up SSMs practice describes the study plan of the Committee. Ninety one approvals were collected, reviewed and edited from February to April 2004. Students selected and were replaced in their preferred SSMs in May-June 2004. The committee decided the credits of SSMs. Second and third year students have to get at least 16 credits to pass to fourth class. The first SSMs practice at Ege University started in September 2004 and followed by the committee. Additionally, internal commissions were established as collecting the approvals, replacing the students and evaluating the efficiencies. Committee members meet regularly according to the planned agenda. A permanent secretary was appointed for committee in September 2004. Although it is the first time in Ege University Faculty of Medicine in this year, SSMs committee studies planned and performed systematically period of time. Feedbacks of tutors and students also support the achievement of SSMs practices.

Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde Özel Çalışma Modülü Kurulu Organizasyonu

Öz

EÜTF’de Ocak 2004 tarihinde belirli amaçlara yönelik eğitim etkinlikleri geliştirmek üzere Özel Çalışma Modülü (ÖÇM) Kurulu kurulmuştur. Kurulun çalışma planı; öğretim üyelerinden ÖÇM önerilerinin toplanması, öğrencilerden tercihlerin alınması, tercihlere yerleştirilmesi ve uygulamaların takip edilmesi olarak dört başlıktan oluşmaktadır. Bu çerçevede yürütülen çalışmalarda Şubat-Mart 2004 boyunca 91 öneri toplanmıştır. Öneriler incelenerek, gerektiğinde düzeltmeler yapılarak Mayıs 2004’te öğrencilerden ÖÇM tercihleri alınmış, yerleştirilmeleri Haziran 2004’te yapılmıştır. Kurul tarafından öğrenci başarısını değerlendirme kriterleri belirlenmiş, 2. ve 3. sınıfta zorunlu olarak alınması gereken ÖÇM kredisi en az 16 olarak belirlenmiştir. Eylül 2004 tarihinden itibaren uygulamaya başlanan ÖÇM’leri kurul tarafından takip edilmiş, 2004-2005 eğitim öğretim yılı için kurulun organizasyonu yeniden yapılandırılmış, alt komisyonlar oluşturulmuştur. Gündemli ve düzenli toplantıların devamına karar verilmiş, Öğrenci İşleri Bürosundan bir daimi sekreter tayin edilmiştir. ÖÇM uygulamaları ilk kez yapılmasına rağmen kısa zamanda organize bir şekilde yürütülmüş ve uygulamaya konulmuştur. Öğrenci ve öğretim üyelerinin geribildirimleri de uygulamaların başarısını desteklemektedir.
