Öz

Kardiyopulmoner resüsitasyon (KPR) kılavuzları, bilimsel gelişmeler ve klinik uygulamalardaki yenilikler doğrultusunda periyodik olarak güncellenmektedir. Bu güncellemeler, hastane içi ve dışı acil müdahalelerde hayatta kalma oranlarını artırmayı ve uygulayıcılara en güncel, kanıta dayalı uygulamaları sunmayı amaçlar. ERC ve AHA gibi uluslararası kuruluşlar tarafından oluşturulan kılavuzlar resüsitasyon biliminde uzman multidisipliner ekiplerin iş birliği ile hazırlanmaktadır. Güncelleme sürecinde sistematik literatür taramaları, meta-analizler ve klinik araştırmalar değerlendirilir. Uygulama önerileri, bu bilimsel kanıtların derecesine göre yeniden düzenlenir.

Burada KPR kılavuzlarının tarihi gelişimini, nasıl ve ne sıklıkla güncellendiğini ve uygulayıcılara yansımalarını ele alarak sağlık profesyonelleri ve toplum için bu sürecin önemini aktarmak istenmiştir.

UPDATE PROCESS IN CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION GUIDELINES

Öz

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guidelines are periodically updated in response to scientific advancements and innovations in clinical practice. These updates aim to increase survival rates in both in- and out-of-hospital emergency interventions and provide practitioners with the most current, evidence-based practices. Guidelines developed by international organizations such as the ERC and AHA are developed through the collaboration of multidisciplinary teams with expertise in resuscitation science. Systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical research are evaluated during the updating process. Practice recommendations are revised based on the strength of this scientific evidence.

In this article, I aimed to discuss the historical development of CPR guidelines, how and how frequently they are updated, and their implications for practitioners, thereby conveying the importance of this process for healthcare professionals and the public.
