BBY Haber; bilgi teknolojilerini, sosyal medyayı, görsel ve yazılı basını sürekli takip ederek alanımızdaki gelişmeleri izlemekte olup, haber değeri olan her türlü bilgiyi/belgeyi denetim altına almaya çalışmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda amaçlarını/ hedeflerini şu şekilde oluşturmuştur; “Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi BBY Haber Portalı; Kütüphane, Arşiv, Dokümantasyon ve Enformasyon merkezleri hakkında ulusal basında ve elektronik ortamda yayınlanmış haberleri sunmak ve arşivlemek hedefiyle yola çıkmış ve tek noktadan bu haberlere erişim sağlamayı amaç edinmiştir. ”
