Exercise ın Osteoporosis, Asthma and Psychiatric Diseases

Öz

Physical activity plays an important role in the treatment of osteoporosis, asthma and psychiatric diseases which are common. In patients with osteoporosis, physical activity should be applied at the submaximal level below the anaerobic threshold to show osteogenic effect in bone. In psychiatric disorders such as major depression, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and substance abuse, 30 minutes moderate aerobic exercise program can be applied three times in a week. For asthma patients, walking or aerobic exercises involving a large muscle mass are recommended. Depending on the intensity of exercise, exercise may have an asthma triggering effect as well as a protective effect against asthma.

Osteoporoz, Astım ve Psikiyatrik Hastalıklarda Egzersiz

Öz

Sık görülen hastalıklardan olan osteoporoz, astım ve psikiyatrik hastalıkların tedavisinde, fiziksel aktivite önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Osteoporoz hastalarında, fiziksel aktivitenin kemikte osteojenik etki göstermesi için; anaerobik eşiğe yakın, submaksimal düzeyde uygulanması gerekmektedir. Majör depresyon, anksiyete bozukluğu, şizofreni, bipolar bozukluk ve madde bağımlılığı gibi psikiyatrik hastalıklarda, haftada üç kez 30 dakika orta şiddette aerobik egzersiz programı uygulanabilir. Astım hastalarında ise yürüyüş ya da geniş kas kitlesini içeren aerobik egzersizler önerilmektedir. Egzersiz yoğunluğuna bağlı olarak, egzersizin astıma karşı koruyucu etkisinin yanı sıra, astımı tetikleyici etkisi de olabilmektedir.
