The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of French contrast training applied during the in-season period on vertical jump, change of direction, and repeated sprint performance in professional soccer players. A total of 22 professional players competing in the Turkish Trendyol 1st League (2025–2026 season) participated in the study. Participants were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=11) and a control group (n=11). The experimental group performed French contrast training twice per week for six weeks in addition to regular team training, while the control group continued their routine training program. Performance measurements were conducted before and after the intervention using countermovement jump (CMJ), Illinois agility test, and a 10×30 m repeated sprint test. Data were analyzed using two-way repeated measures ANOVA. The results indicated significant improvements in vertical jump and change of direction performance in the experimental group compared with the control group (p<.05). However, no significant differences were observed in repeated sprint performance (p>.05). In conclusion, French contrast training appears to be an effective method for improving explosive power and change of direction ability during the in-season period in professional soccer players, while its effects on repeated sprint performance may be limited.
