Neuropathic Osteoarthropathy Mimics Lymphedema: Charcot Foot

Abstract

Herein, we present a 45 year old diabetic male patient presented as lymphedema with painful swollen left lower extremity and diagnosed Charcot foot after various examinations. It is important to keep in mind the Charcot foot in differential diagnosis of lymphedema for preventing the morbidity by early diagnosis of the disease. Key words: Charcot Foot, Lymphedema.

Lenfödemi Taklit Eden Nöropatik Osteoartropati: Charcot Ayağı

Öz

Sol alt ekstremitesinde ağrılı şişlik yakınması ile kliniğimize başvuran ve lenfödem ön tanısı ile yapılan değerlendirmelerinde Charcot ayağı olduğu saptanan 45 yaşındaki diyabetik erkek sunulmaktadır. Lenfödem ayırıcı tanısında Charcot ayağının hatırda tutulması erken tanı konulması ve gelişebilecek morbid sonuçların önlenmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır.
