Low-Grade Fibromyxoid Sarcoma

Abstract

Low grade fibromyxoid sarcoma is a rare type of sarcoma which was first described by Evans in 1987. Despite its deceptively benign histologic features, it is associated by an aggresive clinical course characterized by recurrence and metastases. Differential diagnosis is important, since it might be confused with other benign and malignant tumors which shows myxoid alterations. Here in we presented a case of a low grade fibromyxoid sarcoma in a 50 year old man and discussed the histopathologic and immunohistochemical features of this rare tumor in view of literature. Düşük Dereceli Fibromiksoid Sarkom+

Öz

Düşük dereceli fibromiksoid sarkom ilk kez 1987' de tanımlanmış, nadir görülen bir yumuşak doku tümörüdür. Histolojik olarak benign görünümüne rağmen lokal nüks ve metastaz ile agresif klinik gidiş gösterebilen bir tümördür. Diğer benign ve malign miksoid tümörlerden ayırıcı tanısının önemli olması ve nadir izlenmesi sebebiyle, sol inguinal bölgesindeki kitle nedeniyle opere olan ve düşük dereceli fibromiksoid sarkom tanısı alan 50 yaşındaki erkek olgu sunuldu ve tümörün histopatolojik, immunohistokimyasal bulguları literatür eşliğinde tartışıldı.
