Relatıon Of Hbv-DNA Levels Between Serum Alanin Aminotransferases And Serologıc Markers Of HBV

Öz

Objective: We aimed to determine the relationship between serum HBV-DNA levels and serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels in different age and sex groups. Materıal And Methods: Serum HBV-DNA levels of 90 patients with chronic HBV infection and serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were evaluated according to their age and sex retrospectively. Results: HBV-DNA levels of these patients were grouped as 1-5 pg/mL in 8.9%, 5-100 pg/mL in 45.6%, 101-2000 pg/mL in 27.8%, ³2000 pg/mL in 17.8%. ALT levels were grouped as ≤40 U/L in 26.7%, 41-60 U/L in 17.8%, 61-80 U/L in 13.3%, 81-100 U/L in 10.0%, >100U/L in 32.2% of the patients. There was a correlation between HBV-DNA and age. There were no a statistically significant difference between sex and age, serum HBV-DNA levels and serum ALT levels. Statistical significance were obtained between HBe antigenemi and age and serum HBV-DNA levels. Conclusion: Our results suggested that HBe seroconversion does not accurately determine infectivity and HBV- DNA levels may be very useful in diagnosis, therapy and follow-up periods of chronic HBV infection. Hepatit B Virüsü (HBV) Dna Miktarları ile Serum Alanin Aminotransferaz Düzeyleri ve HBV Serolojik Göstergeleri Arasındaki İlişki

Öz

Amaç: Serum HBV-DNA miktarları ile yaş, cinsiyet, serum alanin aminotransferaz (ALT) düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki varlığını incelemek. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada serum HBV-DNA miktarları bilinen 90 hastanın yaş, cinsiyet, serum alanin aminotransferaz (ALT) düzeyleri retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Hastaların %8.9'unda HBV-DNA miktarı 1-5 pg/mL, %45.6'sında 5-100 pg/mL, %27.8'inde 101-2000 pg/mL, %17.8'inde 2000 pg/mL'nin üzerinde olduğu bulunmuştur. ALT düzeylerinin hastaların %26.7'sinde ≤40 U/L, %17.8'inde 41-60 U/L, %13.3'ünde 61-80 U/L, %10.0'unda 81-100 U/L, %32.2'sinde >100 U/L olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuç: Hastaların yaşı ile HBV-DNA miktarları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir korelasyon tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyete göre yaş, serum HBV-DNA miktarları ve serum ALT düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmamıştır. HBe pozitifliği ile yaş arasında ve serum HBV-DNA değerleri arasındaki ilişki istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdır. Çalışmamızda ALT normal, anti-HBe pozitif, HBV-DNA pozitif hastaların varlığı dikkat çekicidir. HBe serokonversiyonunun infektiviteyi belirlemek açısından yeterli olmadığı, HBV infeksiyonlu hastaların tanı, tedavi ve takip aşamalarında hepatit göstergelerinin yanı sıra HBV-DNA tespitinin çok faydalı olacağı kanısındayız.
