A Rare Cause of Retrorectal Cyst: Teratoma Containing Endometrial Tissue

Abstract

Retrorectal cystic lesions are rare in adults and are the most common congenital entity encountered in the retrorectal space.1, 2 The most important complications of these cysts are infection with a secondary fistula and malignant degeneration of the retrorectal cysts.3, 4 In this article we present differantial diagnosis and surgical treatment modalities for retrorectal cysts. Öz

Retrorektal kist retrorektal alanda bulunan en yaygın konjenital anomalilerden biridir. Retrorektal kistin en önemli komplikasyonları fistüle sekonder enfeksiyon ve retrorektal kistin malign dejenerasyonudur. Bu olguda retrorektal kistin ayırıcı tanısı ve cerrahi tedaviyi sunmayı amaçladık. Anahtar kelimeler: Retrorektal kist, Abdominosakral rezeksiyon.
