THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS BY THE EFFECTS ON TURKEY'S ECONOMY

Abstract

The Global Financial Crisis, which began in the United States in 2007, had become a major problem affecting many institutions and organizations in the U.S, which led into bankruptcy, or takeovers of many corporations. Global Financial Crisis not only affected U.S., but also it adversely affected in the world economy and the economies of developing countries. Turkey's economy, being an open economy to world markets was also influenced by global financial crises. Although the strength of this effect was in the size that would destroy all the economic gains, -like all of economic crises- was less destructive thanks to the precautions and measures taken on short hand. In particular, the measures of financial nature are the main reason why Turkey's economy is less affected by the global financial crises.

TÜRKİYE EKONOMİSİNE ETKİLERİYLE KÜRESEL FİNANSAL KRİZ

Öz

2007 yılında, ABD’de başlayan Küresel Finansal Kriz, ABD’de bir çok kurum ve kuruluşu etkileyerek büyük bir sorun haline gelmiş ve bir çok kurumun iflas etmesi ya da eldeğiştirmesi sonucunu doğurmuştur. Küresel Finansal Kriz, ABD’de kalmamış dünya ekonomisine de sıçrayarak ülke ekonomilerini de olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Türkiye’ ekonomisi de, dünya piyasalarına açık bir ekonomi olma özelliğinde olduğu için sözü edile Küresel Finansal Kriz’den etkilenmiştir. Bu etkilenmenin gücü, -bütün ekonomik krizler gibi- ekonomik kazanımların bitmesine yol açacak boyutta ve nitelikte olmasına rağmen, alınan önlem ve tedbirler bunu zayıflatmıştır. Özellikle, mali nitelikteki önlemler, Türkiye ekonomisinin Küresel Finansal Kriz’den az etkilenmesinin temel nedenidir
