NARRATIVE TEXTS AND SHORT STORY

Abstract

In this article, short story which is considered under the heading of narrative text type, was examined in relation to the questions of what a short story is and what the features of it are. In this direction, in order to draw a frame, we first examined various definitions of narrative texts and discussed the components. Through this discussion we tried to build the relation between narrative texts and short story. As a last step the features of short story both from the perspective of its historical development and of different thinkers working on the theory of short story

ANLATISAL METİNLER VE KISA ÖYKÜ

Öz

Bu makalede, tür olarak anlatı metni başlığı altında incelenen modern kısa öykünün ne olduğu ve ne gibi özelliklere sahip olduğu soruları irdelenmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, öncelikle üst başlık olan anlatısal metin üzerinde durulmuştur. Anlatısal metin nedir ve özellikleri nelerdir soruları metin tanımlamasından hareketle incelenmiş, anlatısal metin ile kısa öykü arasındaki bağlantı açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlantıdan hareketle hem tarihsel gelişimi içerisinde hem de kısa öykü kuramı üzerinde çalışan düşünürlerin sorgulamaları doğrultusunda kısa öykünün özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur
