Why do children work? Millions children around the world go to work instead of to school. Children of poorer parents do not tend to work more than others, but when they do work, they often work longer hours and under worse conditions They are less likely to find themselves participating in activities that would be attractive to parents advocating the educational functions of work. Children of the modern consumer society give many reasons for working but, the importance of money. However, money is not only about It is related to socializing, friends, and activities. This paper examine what child labor is, where and why kids work, and what can be done about the problem

Öz

Çocuklar neden çalışıyorlar? Dünya genelinde milyonlarca çocuk okul yerine çalışmaya yönelmektedir. Yoksul ailelerin çocukları diğerlerine göre çalışmaya daha eğilimli olmamakla birlikte çalışmak zorunda kaldıkları görülmektedir. Bu çocuklar uzun çalışma sürelerinde ve kötü koşullarda çalışmaktadırlar. Çocuklar, çalışma hayatına genellikle daha az oranda kendi kendilerine katılmakta, bu noktada aileler için çocuğun çalışması önem taşımaktadır. Modern tüketim toplumunda çocuğun çalışması için çeşitli faktörler etkili olmaktadır ve en önemlisi de gelirdir. Bununla beraber gelir tek belirleyici faktör değildir. Sosyalleşme, arkadaş ve diğer aktiviteler önem kazanmaktadır. Bu araştırma; çocuk işgücünü, çocukların neden ve nerede çalıştıklarını ve bu problemin nasıl çözülebileceğini ortaya koymaktadır
