Tonsillektomi yapılan hastalarda lidokain HC1 spreyin ameliyat sonrası ağrı üzerine etkisi

Öz

Amaç: Tonsillektomi yapılan hastalarda lidokain hidroklörürün ameliyat sonrası dönemdeki ağrı üzerineolan etkinliğini arafltırmak. Hastalar ve Yöntemler: Çalıflmaya tonsillektomi yapılması planlanan 60 hasta alındı. Tüm hastalara lokal anestezi altında aynı cerrahlar tarafından tonsillektomi yapıldı. Ameliyat sonrasında hastalar rastgele 30’arlı iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruptaki hastaların tonsiller fossasına,günlük toplam 4 mg/kg %10’luk lidokain HCl sprey eflitdozlarda, diğer grupta 2 ml %09 NaCl günde sekiz kezpüskürtüldü. Hastalar ameliyattan sonra birinci, üçüncüve yedinci günlerde kontrole çağrıldı. Kontroller sırasında ağrının değerlendirilmesi görsel analog skala ile yapıldı ve gruplar birbirleriyle karflılafltırıldı. The effect of lidocaine HCl aerosol on postoperative pain in tonsillectomy patients

Öz

Objectives: We evaluated the efficacy of lidocaine hydrochloride aerosol on postoperative pain relief in patients undergoing tonsillectomy.Patients and Methods: The study included 60patients 25 females, 35 males; mean age 25.43 years; range 16 to 35 years undergoing tonsillecto­ my. The procedure was performed by the same surgeons under local anesthesia. The patients were randomly divided into two groups to receive either lidocaine HCI n=30 or NaCI n=30 . A total of 4 mg/kg of 10% lidocaine HCI aerosol and 2 mİ of 0.9% NaCI were applied to the tonsillectomy fossa eight times daily, respectively. Evaluation of pain was made on the first, third, and seventh postopera­ tive days using a visual analogue scale.Results: Significant differences were found betvveen the groups on the first, third, and seventh postoperative days p<0.05 . İn each group, patient’s evaluation of pain differed significantly p<0.05 . The significance levels were higher for lidocaine on the first and third days.Conclusion: Our results suggest that lidocaine HCI aerosol exerts a therapeutic effect on postoperative pain control in tonsillectomy patients.
