According to this legend, Yavuz Sultan Selim built his mausoleum because Çoban Baba, whom he met while hosting the army around Çobanlı on his way to the Egyptian War, gave treats to the army and showed generosity. According to legend, 16. when the architectural features of the mausoleum, which should have been built in the first quarter of the century, are evaluated, it is understood that it was built at an earlier date. The Çoban Baba Mausoleum is a one-story, square-plan tomb structure from the inside and outside, and it is covered with a dome from the inside and a four-way pyramidal roof from the outside. The mausoleum, which was built with cut stone, has similar features with Anatolian mausoleum architecture in terms of decoration features.
