Öz

Alexandria Troas antik kenti 2024 yılı araştırmaları, arazi, ofis ve depo çalışmaları gibi farklı alanlarda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Arazi etabı, kazı, belgeleme, haritalandırma, onarım ve koruma çalışmalarını kapsamaktadır. Diğer sezonlarda olduğu gibi 2024 yılında da kazı çalışmalarının ana odağı kentin forum ve agora sektörleridir. Agorada aralıklarla yürütülen kazı çalışmalarına, alanın Hellenistik Çarşı Yapısı-Kryptoportikus bölümündeki KP4 açması ile devam edilmiştir. Güney duvarının tespit edilmesiyle bir mekânı içerdiği anlaşılan bu açmadaki dolgu, MÖ 2.-MS 6. yüzyıl aralığına tarihlendirilmektedir. Forumdaki kazı çalışmaları ise Podyumlu Salon kuzey kesiti, kuzey hücreleri ve kanallarında, Polygonal Yapı-Doğu Yapısında ve Odeion'da gerçekleştirilmiştir. Odeionda özellikle ODN 5 ve ODN 5.1 açmalarındaki kazı çalışmaları, yapının sahne binasıyla birlikte forumun en görkemli kamu yapılarından biri olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Mimari belgeleme ile onarım ve koruma çalışmaları, bilhassa forumun doğu sınırını oluşturan Polygonal Yapı ve çevresi ile Podyumlu Salon ve Odeion'da; haritalandırma çalışmaları ise kent ve çevresinde sürdürülmüştür. Ofis ve depo çalışmaları ise zooarkeolojik araştırmaları ve eserlerin onarım ve koruması yanında tasnif ve yayın çalışmalarını içermektedir. Alexandria Troas antik kentinin tanıtım çalışmaları için yapılan çeşitli etkinliklerle 2024 yılı çalışmaları tamamlanmıştır.

RESEARCH IN ANCIENT CITY OF ALEXANDRIA TROAS IN 2024

Öz

Research conducted in the ancient city of Alexandria Troas in 2024 was carried out in various fields, including fieldwork, office work and laboratory work. The fieldwork stage encompasses excavation, documentation, mapping, restoration and conservation work. As in previous seasons, the main focus of the excavation in 2024 has been the city's forum and agora sectors. The excavations carried out at intervals in the agora continued with the KP4 trench in the Hellenistic Bazaar Structure-Kryptoportikus section of the area. The fill in this trench, which appears to enclose a store identified by the discovery of the south wall, is dated to the period between the 2nd century BC and the 6th century AD. Excavations in the forum were carried out in the northern section of the Podium Hall, the northern cells and canals, the Polygonal Structure-East Structure and the Odeion. Excavations in the odeion, especially in trenches ODN 5 and ODN 5.1, revealed that the building, together with the stage building, was one of the most magnificent public buildings of the forum. Architectural documentation, restoration and conservation works, especially in the Polygonal Building and its surroundings, which form the eastern border of the forum, and in the Podium Hall and Odeion; mapping studies were carried out in and around the city. Office and laboratory work includes zooarchaeological research and the restoration and conservation of artefacts, as well as classification and publication work. As part of the 2024 activities, various events were held to promote the ancient city of Alexandria Troas.
