FARKLI TİPTE LAZERLERİN VETERİNER HEKİMLİKTE KULLANIMI

Öz

Tanı ve tedavi amaçlı kullanılan lazerler, bugün tıbbın her alanında kendine yer edinmiştir. Her geçen gün lazer teknoloji ve uygulamalarında yeni gelişmeler olmaktadır. Son yıllarda lazerlerin kullanımı veteriner hekimlikte de yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır.

Lazerin boya, gaz, katı, yarı iletken, kimyasal ve metal buharlı gibi türleri mevcuttur. Lazer türlerinin çeşitliliği, veterinerlikte de hem cerrahi uygulamalarda hem de destekleyici tedavilerde yer almasını sağlamıştır. Lazerler veteriner hekimlikte ilk olarak ülser tedavisinde ve tümörlerin yok edilmesinde kullanılmıştır. Sonrasında koter olarak da kullanılan lazerlerin, dermotolojik uygulamalarda, destekleyici tedavilerde, bazı göz hastalıkları uygulamalarında ve endoskopi uygulamalarında kullanımı izlenmiştir. Bu derlemede, ülkemizde de yaygınlaşan, veterinerlikte kullanılan lazerlerin çeşitleri ve uygulamaları hakkında bilgi vermek amaçlanmıştır.
