ULUDAĞ MASİFİ’NİN (BURSA) PETROL VE DOĞALGAZ POTANSİYELİNİN YENİ BİR JEOKİMYASAL YÖNTEMLE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Öz

Yakın tarihli çalışmalarda, Türkiye kuzeyinde genellikle metamorfik ve granitik kayaçların çevre birimi olan Karakaya karmaşığı birimlerinde olgun petrol hidrokarbonlarının varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu nedenle çalışmada, Karakaya birimleri tarafından çevrelenen Uludağ Masifinin petrol ve doğalgaz potansiyelinin masif ve çevresindeki doğal su kaynaklarından alınan örnekler üzerinde Toplam Petrol Hidrokarbonları (TPH) analizleri yapılarak araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, su numunelerinin tamamında hidrokarbonlar tespit edilmiştir. Sularda tespit edilen hidrokarbonların kaynağının belirlenmesi için organik jeokimyasal yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Belirlenen n-alkan hidrokarbonlar, olgun petrol hidrokarbonlarıdır. Bu olgun petrol hidrokarbonlarının varlığı, çalışma alanındaki petrol sistemi için bir kanıttır. Bölgede geniş yayılım sunan Karakaya karmaşığı birimlerine ait kaynak kayalardan türeyen hidrokarbonlar, granitin yerleşimi sırasında yükselen Uludağ Masifi birimlerine göç etmiş ve kırıklı-çatlaklı zonlarda birikmiş olmalıdır.
