Destinasyonlarda Sürdürülebilirlik ve Yeşil Uygulamalar: Green Destinations Top 100 Sürdürülebilir Hikayeler Yarışmasına Katılan Destinasyonların İncelenmesi

Öz

The aims of study is to analyze the green practices and sustainability studies of 19 destinations in the “Environment & Climate” category participating in the “Top 100 Stories Competition” organized by the Green Destinations organization in 2021. In accordance with the purpose, the competition records on the Green Destinations website, the reports of the relevant destinations, the summaries of the performed studies and the program scoring texts were examined with the document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study results revealed some specific points such as transportation activities where carbon emissions are minimized, recycling practices, strengthening the participation of local communities, protecting tourism areas, producing innovative solutions by using technology, giving importance to biological diversity, using alternative energy sources, preventing illegal activities, and protecting all living things. Also, it has been determined that a wide variety of green practices are applied to maintain lives in a healthy ecology
