Nutrition and
healthy living that are the people’s basic needs are possible with food safety.
Food safety means all measures taken to eliminate the possible physical,
chemical, biological and any kind of harms that the food might have. In the
concept of food safety, “Case of being harmful to human health” is of great
importance. Food consumed without any processing has several chemicals
including food contaminants. Processed foods
(ready-made foods), on the other hand, contain additive in addition to these
groups. Dioxin and similar compounds are significant environment and food
pollutants with high risk of exposure. Some of these chemical pollutants in the
foods, such as organic chloride compounds, pesticides are the chemicals that
entered into our lives within the last 70 years. Therefore, in this study, it
is aimed to analyze the chemicals within the foods currently with the forensic
science perspective.
