Maksiller sinüsler, dişlere ve dişlerle ilişkili anatomik
yapılara yakınlığı nedeniyle diş hekimlerinin dikkate alması
gereken önemli anatomik oluşumlardır. Maksiller sinüsler,
diş hekimliği pratiğinde kullanılan birçok tanı görüntüsünde
izlenebilir. Bu nedenle diş hekimi, maksiller sinüslerin
normal görünümünü, varyasyonları ve maksiller sinüsleri
etkileyebilecek hastalıkları iyi bilmelidir. Bu derlemede diş
hekimliği pratiğinde karşımıza daha sık çıkabilen maksiller
sinüslerin enflamatuar hastalıklarının radyolojik ve klinik
bulguların özetlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Maxillary sinuses are important anatomical formation that
dentists should consider due to their proximity to teeth and
anatomical structures associated with teeth. The maxillary
sinuses can be traced in many diagnostic images used in dental
practice; Therefore, the dentist should be well aware of the
normal appearance of the maxillary sinuses, their variations
and the diseases that may affect the maxillary sinuses. In this
review, it is aimed to summarize the radiological and clinical
findings of inflammatory diseases of the maxillary sinuses,
which may be encountered more frequently in dental practice.
