Hastalara uygulanan sabit restorasyonların temel amacı, hastanın oral dokularına zarar vermeden, eksik dokuların; fonksiyonunu, fonasyonunu ve estetiğini sağlamaktır. Sabit protezlerdeki temel başarı kriterlerinden biri marjinal uyumdur. Marjinal uyumun kabul edilebilir olması, restorasyonun klinik

The main purpose of fixed restorations is to provide function, phonation and aesthetics of the missing tissues without damaging the patient’s oral tissues. One of the main success criteria for fixed prostheses is marginal fit. An acceptable marginal fit directly increases the clinical success of the restoration. In restorations where the fit is not ideal, dental plaque accumulation occurs, the cement that provides the connection dissolves and microleakages occur. As a result, periodontal tissues of the supporting teeth are damaged, clinical attachment is lost and bone loss occurs. In this review study, techniques for measuring marginal fit were evaluated. These techniques include; direct vision technique with photography, cross-sectioning technique, replica method, profilometry, measurement of silicone weight, checking with specific software and three-dimensional scanning, micro-CT and 3D digital evaluation methods. The aim of this study is to provide information about these measurement methods, to
evaluate the combinations between measurement methods that can be applied case-specifically, to evaluate the reliability of the methods, and to identify potential factors that may affect the accuracy between methods.
