A Study on the ‘in Honour’ of Books about the Academics Served Turkology Between 2000-2010

‘In honour’ of books are prepared for the people who developed a new understanding about science, art and literature and who become a role model. Knowledge of person’s working life, scientific and art point of view, that she/he initizted, articles which were written by him/her or written by the people who have respect to him/her articles could be in these books. It is possible to learn person’s life story and recognize person’s scientific and art identity voluminously via ‘in honour’ of books. In this way ‘in honour’ of books could be evaluated in tradition of biography. ‘In honour’ of books are designed as a book or a journal special collection number. In Turkey, societies, people and publishers publish such kinds of books regularly. ‘In honour’ of books, which are the first examples of them, have been popular since 1950, are increasing in number. In this article, the list of ‘in honour’ of books which were prepared between the years 2000-2010 to scholars who have served for Turkology, list of ‘in honour’ of books given and the characteristics of works in general are evaluated.

2000-2010 YILLARI ARASINDA TÜRKOLOJİYE HİZMET ETMİŞ AKADEMİSYENLER İÇİN HAZIRLANAN ARMAĞAN KİTAPLAR HAKKINDA BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Öz

Armağan kitaplar bilime, sanata ve edebiyata yeni bir anlayış getirmiş, kendinden sonraki nesile yol gösterici olmuş kişiler için hazırlanır. Armağan kitapta, kişinin çalışma hayatına dair bilgiler, geliştirdiği bilimsel ve sanatsal bakış açısından izler, kişinin kendi yazıları veya sevenleri tarafından yazılan makale, sohbet ve deneme türünde yazılar bu kitaplarda yer alabilir. Armağan hazırlanan kişinin yaşam öyküsünü öğrenmek, bilimsel ve sanatsal kimliğini çok yönlü olarak tanımak mümkün olduğu için armağan yayınları biyografi geleneği içinde değerlendirmek de mümkündür. Armağanlar, bir derginin özel sayısı olarak tasarlanabilir. Türkiye’de kurumlar, kişiler ve yayınevleri düzenli olarak bu tür eserleri yayınlamaktadır. İlk örneklerine 1950’lerden itibaren rastlanan armağan kitapların sayısı giderek artmaktadır. Bu yazıda Türkolojiye hizmet etmiş akademisyenler için 2000-2010 yılları arasında hazırlanan armağanların listesi verilmiş ve eserlerin nitelikleri genel olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
