İNSAN SONRASI SÖYLEMDE SANATIN MANASI

Öz

İnsan sonrası söylem insan aklını merkez alan dünya algısını eleştiriye açarken sanatın bu tartışmanın içinde nasıl konumlanacağı sorusunu da gündeme getirmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı nesnel bilimsel bilginin dışarıda bıraktığı bilgi türlerini, posthümanist kuramsal çerçeve içinden ele alarak bugün sanatın konumunu araştırmak ve yorumlamaktır. Tarih içinde bilimin nesnel bakışının gölgesinde kalan farklı bilgi türlerine, kategorilerle düşünen aklın geride bıraktıklarına yeniden bakma çabasıyla mana kavramı bu makalede bir çıkış noktası olarak ele alınmaktadır. Mana, insan ve hayvan, bitki ve toprak, yeryüzü ve dünya arasında bir ayrımın yapılmadığı ve rasyonel bir akılla biçimlenmemiş, sınırların silikleştiği bir kavrama biçimi önermektedir. İnsanın kendi tahakkümünde bir nesne olarak algılamaya alışık olduğu doğaya bakışının sanattaki temsilleri, güncel posthümanist tartışma için güçlü bir eleştiri kaynağıdır. Güncel sanat pratiğinden örneklerin yakın okumaları üzerinden gerçekleştirilecek olan nitel araştırmada, posthümanist kuramın fikir ve metotları, sanat alanını anlamak ve yorumlamak üzere bir kuramsal çerçeve sunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, anlamlandırmanın öncesindeki mana kavramı, sanatın insan sonrası tartışmanın dâhilinde yeni konumunu ele almamızda yardımcı olacaktır. İnsan-olmayana odaklanan, onun sınır ve yaşam alanı üzerine ilerleyen tartışma; bugün sanatın sınırlarını, diğer alanlarla olan ilişkisini ve sürekliliğini sağlayacak bakış açısını kavramamıza olanak sağlamaktadır.

The Meaning of Art in Posthuman Discourse

Öz

While posthuman discourse opens the perception of the world centred on the human mind to criticism; the question of how art will be positioned in this debate also comes to the fore. Within the posthumanist theoretical framework, this paper aims to reconsider the types of knowledge excluded by objective scientific knowledge, and from the perspective of this framework; to inquire into and interpret the position of art today. The concept of mana constitutes a starting point in this article in an effort to look again at the different types of knowledge that have been overshadowed by the objective view of science and what has left behind by the mind thinking with categories throughout history. Mana proposes a form of conception in which no distinction is made between man and animal, plant and soil, earth and the world, where the boundaries formed by a rational mind are blurred. The representations of nature in art, which man is accustomed to perceive as an object under his own domination, are a powerful source for contemporary posthumanist debate. Through close readings of exemplary contemporary artworks within the qualitative research ethos, and with the theoretical framework, ideas and methods posthumanist theory provides, the paper aspires to understand and interpret the field of art. In this context, the concept of mana, a meaning before signification will help us to consider the new position of art within the posthuman debate. The discussions on non-human, its boundaries and habitat, allows us to grasp the limits of art, its relationship with other fields and the perspective that will ensure its continuity.
