Öz

Plants
in the world are used as food supply for human and animals. Many plants are
utilized as pharmaceutical and industrial purposes, too.  Human activities and natural phenomenon can
cause some of the plants near to extinct. Therefore, the extincted species,
which are consumed by human will be lesser than today and people can face with
starvation in the future. Thus, the conservation of plant genetic resources
isbeing carried out today. In this review we have focused onthe rare and
endangered plant species and their conservation by ex-situ and
in-situmethodshighlighting the plants’ varieties from Turkey.
