A Research on Salinity Tolerance of Some Vetch (Vicia sp.) Species

Öz

This study was conducted in Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Faculty of Agriculture and Department of Field Crops Laboratory in January 2018. In this study, parameters of germination and seedling development of hungarian vetch (Kansur) and common vetch (Zemheri-08) species were examined. Seeds of these species were germinated using different saline solutions (0, 250, 750, 2250, 5000, 10000 ppm). The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design (CRD) with four replications. Observations were made every day at the same time, seeds with radicle length exceeding 1 mm were considered germinated. Seeds were monitored for fourteen days at 20℃ in the air-conditioning cabinet. The germination habitat was adjusted for 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. According to the results of the research, the differences between species and salt concentrations in many features in terms of germination and seedling development were statistically significant, and the interaction of species and salt concentrations was insignificant. Increased salt concentrations negatively affected germination and seedling growth. In terms of germination rate, radicle and plumule length and vigor index values, hungarian vetch species has superior properties than common vetch species. For some features, higher values were obtained in 250 ppm application compared to control, while these values were in the same statistical group with control and 750 ppm application. In terms of all the properties examined the lowest values were obtained in 10000 ppm application.

Bazı Fiğ (Vicia sp.) Çeşitlerinin Tuzluluğa Karşı Toleransı Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Öz

Bu çalışma Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü Laboratuvarında 2018 Ocak ayında yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada macar fiği (Kansur) ve yaygın fiğ (Zemheri-08) fiğ türlerinin çimlenme ve fide gelişimine dair parametreler incelenmiştir. Bu türlere ait tohumlar farklı tuzlu su eriyikleri (0, 250, 750, 2250, 5000, 10000 ppm) kullanılarak çimlendirilmiştir. Deneme tesadüf parselleri deneme desenine göre dört tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Gözlemler her gün aynı saatte yapılmış, radikula uzunluğu 1 mm’yi geçen tohumlar çimlenmiş olarak kabul edilmiştir. Tohumlar ışık ayarı 12 saat gündüz 12 saat gece olacak şekilde 20℃’ye ayarlı iklimlendirme dolabında on dört gün süreyle takip edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, çimlenme ve fide gelişimi yönünden birçok özellikte türler ve tuz konsantrasyonları arasındaki farklar istatistiki olarak önemli, tür ve tuz eriyikleri interaksiyonu önemsiz çıkmıştır. Artan tuz konsantrasyonları çimlenme ve fide gelişimini olumsuz etkilemiştir. Çimlenme oranı, radikula ve plumula uzunluğu ve vigor indeks değerleri yönünden macar fiğinin yaygın fiğe göre daha üstün özelliklere sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Bazı özellikler için 250 ppm uygulamasında kontrole göre daha yüksek değerler elde edilirken, bu değerlerin kontrol ve 750 ppm uygulaması ile aynı istatistiki grupta yer aldığı görülmüştür. İncelenen tüm özellikler açısından en düşük değerler 10000 ppm uygulamasında elde edilmiştir.
