The role of perceived social support, self-efficacy, and psychological skills in psychological resilience: a theoretical model test on academy football players

Öz

This study was designed to investigate the impact of social media addiction on the mental resilience levels of physical education teachers. Another aim of the study was to examine whether mental resilience levels and social media addictions differed according to variables such as gender, age, marital status, and active sports participation. A correlational screening and causal comparison model was employed in the study. The social media addiction scale and mental resilience scale were used as data collection tools in our study. The study was conducted on a voluntary basis. The research population consisted of individuals working as physical education teachers in private and public schools on the European side of Istanbul, and the sample was selected from this population using simple random sampling. After defining the research analyses in the SPSS 25.0 package programme, the relevant analyses were conducted using this programme. As a result, a weak positive correlation was found between social media addiction and mental resilience levels.
