ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING CLOUD COMPUTING FROM PERSPECTIVE OF STUDENTS A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN THE STUDENTS OF AL-JINAN UNIVERSITY (LEBANON) AND THE STUDENTS OF ATATURK UNIVERSITY (TURKEY)

Öz

There are several articles and papers presenting the advantages offered by the implementation and use of the cloud by the universities, these studies, however, did not compare the advantages and disadvantages of using cloud computing from the perspective of students at more than one university or in universities from different countries. The study focused on finding the pros and cons of using cloud computing from the perspective of students at Ataturk University in Turkey and students of Jinan University in Lebanon. As students are the backbone of any university. Therefore, the aim of this article is to present, not only the possibilities offered by the cloud in education, but also how cloud computing is perceived by students, Would you use the Cloud as a solution offered by the University and whether they consider introducing cloud computer at universities. The first part of the article includes a theoretical part of cloud computing, explaining the main issues and most common definitions of the cloud. And, the second part of the article presents the results of research, that have been conducted among the students of the Ataturk University in Turkey and students of Jinan University in Lebanon.
