Öz
Safkan İngiliz ırkı, erkek, 4 yaşlı bir at yarış sonrasında boynun her iki tarafının şişmesi ve sonrasında boynunu hareket ettirmekte isteksiz olması şikâyetleri ile getirildi. İnspeksiyonda, sağ regio sulcus jugularis’te lokal kıl dökülmeleri ve eski fistül yaraları görüldü. Palpasyonunda ise lokal hassasiyet ve yaklaşık 18 cm’lik vena jugularis çevresinde yumuşak doku sertliği algılandı. Ultrasonografik muayenede, birbiri içine girmiş ekojenik ve hipoekoik halka şeklindeki damar katmanları belirlendi. Tromboflebitis purulenta tanısı konularak sağ vena jugularis’in cerrahi parsiyal rezeksiyonu gerçekleştirildi. Postoperatif erken dönem ve sonrasında herhangi bir komplikasyonla karşılaşılmadı
