Significance of Using Phytase Enzyme in Poultry Ration
Öz
Poultry rations mostly consist of plant derived feedstuffs as known. Major portion of total phospho-rous in these feedstuffs is form of phytase phosphorous combined with phytic acid which is less available for poultry. Phytic acid in plant derived feedstuffs also creates a complex with other minerals except phosphorus, starch, protein and proteolitic enzymes. Supplementation of phytase enzyme in poultry rations improve the di-gestibility of phosphorous combined with phytic acid, minerals such as calcium and zinc, protein, amino acids and starch. The improvement of nutrient digestibility by supplementation phytase enzyme to the ration increases the performance of poultry. The levels of minerals in the poultry litter decrease by improvement of mineral bioa-vailability which contribute to the prevention of environmental pollution.
