Öz

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the subjective well-being levels and life satisfaction of personnel working in sport activity organizations in terms of some variables.

Methods: Totally 150 participants (10 male, and 44 female) joined into the study volunteers who were working on sport branches such as bodybuilding, fitness, swimming, tennis, pilates and Far Eastern sports in Sakarya. To determine the subjective well-being of the personnel, a 4-question personal information form, a 46-item subjective well-being scale developed by Tuzgöl Dost (2005) and a 5-item life satisfaction scale developed by Diener (1984) and adapted to Turkish by Yetim (1993) were used. SPSS 23.0 statistical package program was used for data analysis

Results: As a result of the study, subjective well-being was found to affect life satisfaction (p<0.05).  Subjective well-being explained 8% of life satisfaction. In life satisfaction, it was found that individuals in the age group of 31 and over were different from those in the 26-30 age group.

Conclusion: There was no statistically significant difference between life satisfaction and subjective well-being. As a result of the study, subjective well-being was found to affect life satisfaction according to sociodemographic characteristics (age, gender, education, and work experience).
