Site Investigation by Geologic Observation, Geophysical Application and Geotechnical Tests

Abstract

Before structuring in a region located in the Körfez district, Kocaeli, geological, geophysical and geotechnical studies have been conducted in order to determine the underground structures, to obtain the near-surface and laboratory data which are necessary for the basic design of foundation, the bearing capacity and the level of underground water and to investigate the excavation problems. For this aim, standard penetration test, rotary drilling and rock coring were performed, Sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, liquid limit, plastic limit, plasticity index, three-axis pressure test, consolidation test, water content and unit weight tests were conducted

Jeolojik Gözlemler, Jeofizik Uygulamalar ve Jeoteknik Testlerle Yer Araştırması

Öz

Kocaeli ili, Körfez ilçesi’nde bulunan çalışma alanında yapılaşmadan önce yeraltındaki yapıların belirlenmesi, temel dizaynı için gerekli olan yakın yüzey arazi ve laboratuar verilerinin elde edilmesi, yerin taşıma gücünün ve yeraltı su seviyesinin belirlenmesi ve hafriyat sorunlarının araştırılması amacıyla jeolojik, jeofizik ve jeoteknik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, standart penetrasyom testi, rotary sondaj, elek analizleri, kıvam limitleri, likit limit, plastik limit, plastisite indeksi, üç eksenli basınç deneyi, konsolidasyon deneyi, su muhtevası ve birim hacim ağırlık testi yapılmıştır
