CLASSIFICATION OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE HOSPITALS IN IRAQ IN TERMS OF HEALTH SERVICES QUALITY

Öz

Health services quality has been the most important criteria of judging. In a health system, public and private sectors provide services and typically have been effective in promoting health services quality of community. The aim of this study is to classification public and private hospitals in Erbil province, Iraq, in terms of health services quality. This study includes a quantitative cross-sectional questionnaire based on the SERVQUAL dimensional model. In 2020, 370 questionnaire forms were distributed to patients by random stratified sampling method in all departments of 11 different hospitals, including public and private hospitals in Erbil. Data were analyzed by IBM – SPSS software version 25 by using factor analysis and discriminant analysis with ROC curve to evaluate the model. In public and private hospital, the factor analysis identified seven factors accounting for 64% of the total variance. It is seen that the correct classification rate of discriminant analysis is 78.1%, public and private hospitals are distinguish from each other. As a result of the analysis, the discriminatory model of the ROC curve criterion and the AUC value of the area under the ROC curve were obtained as 0.863, which means that the diagnostic test carries excellent discrimination. The variables (X1: Modern equipment in the hospital, X7: The hospital staff get things done the first time and X8: Providing timely services) are the most important and influential variables between the factor analysis and discriminant analysis for the patient satisfaction. As a result, it can be said that there is a significant difference between public and private hospitals.

SAĞLIK HİZMETLERİ KALİTESİ AÇISINDAN IRAK’TAKİ KAMU VE ÖZEL HASTANELERİN SINIFLANDIRILMASI

Öz

Sağlık hizmetlerinin kalitesi, değerlendirmenin en önemli kriteri olmuştur. Bir sağlık sisteminde, kamu ve özel sektör hizmet sağlar ve genellikle toplumun sağlık hizmetlerinin kalitesini yükseltmede etkili olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Irak'ın Erbil ilinde bulunan kamu ve özel hastaneleri sağlık hizmetleri kalitesi açısından sınıflandırmaktır. Bu çalışma, SERVQUAL boyutsal modele dayalı niceleyici kesitsel bir anket içermektedir. 2020 yılında Erbil ilinde kamu ve özel hastaneler de dâhil olmak üzere 11 farklı hastanenin tüm bölümlerinde 370 anket formu rastgele tabakalı örnekleme yöntemi ile hastalara dağıtılmıştır. Veriler, modeli değerlendirmek için faktör analizi ve ROC eğrisi ile diskriminant analizi kullanılarak IBM – SPSS 25 istatiksel analiz programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Kamu ve özel hastanelerde faktör analizi, toplam varyansın % 64'ünü oluşturan yedi faktör tanımlamıştır. Diskriminant analizinin doğru sınıflandırma oranı % 78.1 olduğu, kamu hastaneleri ile özel hastaneleri birbirinden ayrıldığı görülmektedir. Analiz sonucunda, ROC eğrisi kriterinin ayırt edici modeli ve ROC eğrisi altındaki alanın AUC değeri 0.863 olarak elde edildi, bu da tanısal testin olağanüstü ayrımcılık taşıdığı anlamına gelmektedir. Değişkenler (X1: Hastanedeki modern donanım, X7: Hastane personelinin işlerini ilk anda yapılması ve X8: Hizmetlerin zamanında sağlanması) hasta memnuniyeti için faktör analizi ile diskriminant analizi arasında en önemli ve etkili değişkenlerdir. Sonuç olarak kamu ve özel hastaneler arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu söylenebilir.
