Çocuk Diş Hekimliğinde Prefabrike Kron Uygulamaları

Öz

Süt dişleri çiğneme fonksiyonu, büyüme - gelişim, altlarındaki daimi dişlerin yerini koruması ve ideal oklüzyonun sağlanması, konuşma ve estetik açıdan oldukça önemlidir. Buna karşın çocuklarda diş çürüğü; uygun olmayan beslenme alışkanlıkları, kötü ağız hijyeni, karyojenik mikroorganizmaların kolonizasyonu, erken dönemlerde süt dişi mine matürasyonunun yeterli olmaması nedeniyle çürüğe yatkınlık göstermesi ve yetersiz flor alımı gibi faktörler nedeniyle sıklıkla görülmektedir. Çocuk diş hekimliğinde klinisyenlerin karşılaştığı en yaygın sorunlardan biri; estetik olarak kabul edilebilir, dayanıklı ve uygun maliyetli restorasyonlar sağlamaktır. Özellikle diş çürüğü nedeniyle aşırı madde kaybı olan ve endodontik tedavi sonrası çiğneme kuvvetlerine karşı yeterli dayanımı gösterecek restoratif materyallerden prefabrike kronlar iyi bir tedavi seçeneğidir. Bu derleme; çocuk diş hekimliği alanında kullanılan prefabrike kronların özelliklerini, avantajlarını, endikasyonlarını ve uygulama yöntemlerini değerlendirerek klinisyenlere hasta için en uygun seçimi yapma konusunda bilgi sunmaktır.
