Aşırı Dişeti Görünümünün Tedavisinde Dudak Repozisyonu Uygulaması: Olgu Serisi

Öz

Gülümseme, konuşmaya gerek duymadan kurulabilen bir iletişim yoludur. Gülümseme estetiği ise dentisyon, dudak sınırları ve gingival doku arasındaki uyum ile ilişkilidir. Gingival ve dental dokular arasındaki uyumsuz ilişki nedeniyle, dişetlerinin fazla ve dişlerin ise az miktarda görünmesine “dişeti gülümsemesi” adı verilmektedir. Gülme sırasında aşırı dişeti görünümü birçok hasta için estetik açıdan rahatsız edici bir durum oluşturmaktadır. Tedavisinde botulinum toksini enjeksiyonları, rinoplastili dudak uzatmaları, dudak kası dekolmanları, miyotomi, dudak repozisyonları gibi seçenekler tercih edilmektedir. Bu olgu serisinde aşırı dişeti görünümüne şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvuran 3 hastanın dudak repozisyonu tekniği ile tedavisi ve erken dönem sonuçları rapor edilmiştir.

Lip Reposition Practice in the Treatment of Excessive Gingival Display: Case Series

Öz

Smile is a way of communication that can be established without the need to speak. Smile aesthetics is related to the harmony between dentition, lip borders and gingival tissue.. Due to the incompatible relationship between gingival and dental tissues, the appearance of excess gingiva and a small amount of teeth are called "gummy smile". Excessive gingival appearance during laughing poses aesthetically disturbing condition for many patients. Botulinum toxin injections, lip extensions with rhinoplasty, lip muscle detachments, myotomy, and lip repositions are preferred in its treatment. In this case series, lip repositioning treatment and short term results of 3 patients who applied to our clinic with the complaint of excessive gum appearance were reported.
