Öz

Bir diş kaybı yaşandığında, bireyler hem estetik hem de işlevsellik açısından tatmin edici bir çözüm arayışına girerler. Sabit veya hareketli protezlerin dişler ve çevre dokularda farklı olumsuz etkiler yaratabileceği düşünüldüğünde, dental implant tedavisi günümüzde eksik dişlerin yerine konulmasında genellikle istenilen yöntemlerden biri olmuştur. Bu yöntemin popülerliği, kaybedilen doğal dişlerin estetik ve işlevsel gereksinimlerini karşılayan modern ve etkili bir alternatif sunmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. İmplant uygulamaları etkili bir tedavi yöntemi olarak kabul edilse de, tedavinin başarısı büyük ölçüde osseointegrasyon sürecinin başarısına bağlıdır. Osseointegrasyon, implant ile canlı kemik arasında kurulan yapısal ve işlevsel bağlantıyı ifade eder ve başarılı bir protetik tedavinin temel taşını oluşturur. Bu derlemede, dental implantların preoperatif ve postoperatif dönemlerde karşılaşılan komplikasyonlarına detaylı bir şekilde değinilecektir.

DENTAL IMPLANT COMPLICATIONS

Öz

When a tooth is lost, individuals seek a solution that is both aesthetically and functionally satisfactory. Considering the potential negative effects that traditional fixed or removable prostheses may have on teeth and surrounding tissues, dental implant treatment has become one of the most preferred methods for replacing missing teeth today. The popularity of this method stems from its ability to provide a modern and effective alternative that meets the aesthetic and functional requirements of lost natural teeth. Although implant applications are considered an effective treatment method, the success of the treatment largely depends on the success of the osseointegration process. Osseointegration refers to the structural and functional connection established between the implant and the living bone, forming the cornerstone of successful prosthetic treatment. This review will provide a detailed discussion of the complications encountered during the preoperative and postoperative periods of dental implant applications.
