Öz

Waste Management in Smart Citiesand Smart Waste Management Samples in The Worldspace and a habitat can be created where environmental hazards and risks are minimized. In this respect, as the most important problems of the cities, seem to be the recycling of solid wastes together with intelligent urban practices to be able to meet with nature without harming human beings are important. In this study, through the concept of smart cities, such as case studies carried out by Los Angeles and Toronto for solid waste management in the world “What can be done in Turkey?” Is to answer the question

Akıllı Kentlerde Atık Yönetimi ve Dünya’dan Akıllı Atık Yönetimi Üzerine Örnekler

Öz

Yerküre üzerinde nüfusun artması, kent politikalarının değişmesi ve sürdürülebilirlik ve geri dönüşüm kavramlarının popülerlik kazanması ile artık akıllı kentler kavramı ön plana çıkmaktadır. Akıllı kentler yalnızca elektronik veya dijital olanaklardan yararlanan kent olarak değerlendirilemez. Sosyoekonomik olarak insan paydaşı ile beraber kentin sürdürülebilir bir yaşam alanına dönüştürülmesi, çevresel atık tehlikelerinin ve risklerinin sığ, yüzeysel önlemler yerine köklü çözümler üretilmesi, bilgi kültürünün toplum içerisinde hâkim kılınması ile mümkün olabilir. Bu bakımdan kentlerin en önemli sorunları olarak görünen katı atıkların geri dönüşüme kazandırılabilmesi ile birlikte insana zarar vermeden doğa ile buluşabilmesi için akıllı kent uygulamaları önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada akıllı kentler kavramı ele alınarak dünyada katı atık yönetimine yönelik olarak yapılan Los Angeles ve Toronto gibi örnek çalışmalar üzerinden “Türkiye’de neler yapılabilir?” sorusuna yanıt aranmaktadır
