Öz

Yoğun bakım ünitelerinde solunum sistemi hasta- lıkları, nörolojik nedenler, kardiyovasküler sorun- lar deneyimleyen hastalara mekanik ventilasyon desteği verilmektedir. Bu yapay solunum desteği karmaşık bir süreçtir. Solunum mekanizmalarının, oksijenasyon ve ventilasyon durumunun değer- lendirilmesi, beslenmenin sürdürülmesi, fiziksel ve psikolojik bakım, sürecin kısaltılması için önemli önceliklerdir. Başarılı mekanik ventilasyon desteği, hemşirelerin diğer sağlık ekibi üyeleriyle işbirliği içerisinde çalışmasına bağlıdır

Care of The Patient on Mechanical Ventilation

Öz

Mechanical ventilation support is required in patients experiencing respiratory failure, and in some patients with pulmonary, neurological and cardiovascular problems. This artificial respiratory support is a complex process. Assessment of res- piratory mechanics, oxygenation and ventilation, nutrition management, physical and psychological care are important for the shortening of the process. Successful mechanical ventilation sup- port depends on the nurse’s cooperation with other healthcare team members
