Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi Yoğun Bakım Hemşirelerinin COVID-19 Pandemi Sürecinde Mesleki Deneyimlerinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmada kalp ve damar cerrahisi yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin COVID-19 pandemi döneminde mesleki deneyimlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Nitel tipte olan bu araştırmada yorumlayıcı fenomenolojik yaklaşım kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bir üniversitesi hastanesinin Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı yoğun bakım ünitesinde en az altı aydır çalışan altı hemşire üzerinde yütürüldü. Veriler “Hastaların Sosyodemografik ve Tanıtıcı Özellikleri Formu” ve “Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu” kullanılarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler sonucunda toplandı.
Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşireler 28-45 yaş aralığındadır. Hemşirelerin hepsi kadın cinsiyette ve lisans mezunu olup dördü bekar, üçü çocuk sahibi ve üçü de çocuğu ve eşi yaşamaktadır. Hemşireler altı aydan 28 aya kadar değişen sürelerde kalp ve damar cerrahisi yoğun bakım ünitesinde çalışmaktadır. Hemşireler COVID-19 pandemi dönemindeki iş yüklerini normal iş yüküne göre fazla olarak tanımlamaktadır. Bu araştırmadan pandeminin psikososyal etkileri, hemşirelik bakımında yaşanan zorluklar, kalp ve damar cerrahisi hemşiresinin iş gücü olmak üzere dört tema elde edilmiştir.
Sonuç: Kalp ve damar cerrahisi yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin COVID-19 pandemi döneminde mesleği gereksinimler olmuştur. Bu hemşirelerin hastanenin pandemideki iş yükünü kaldıran öncüler olarak görüldüğü saptanmıştır.
