Since mankind began to exist, he started to produce tools to keep his life and make his job easier. Transportation, which has reached a certain development with the invention of the wheel, has become an inevitable service today in order to support people socially, economically and culturally. The purpose of this research is to compare driver education and practice exams of the European Union countries and Turkey. This studyis important in terms of determining the areas that need improvement in Turkey by considering the content of driver training, application of exams and requirements of obtaining a driver's license. This research was carried out with a qualitative research approach in accordance with its purpose. In the research, the document analysis method was used and national education documents and the studies on driver training in the European Union countries, examination standards and the requirements for obtaining a driver's license were scanned. Therefore, economic development will be achieved as a result of the drivers' training in the specified models and fulfilling the requirements of this training in Turkey’s transportation system. In the advanced stage, in line with this research study, a new model proposal can be brought in consideration of our country's own conditions.
