Lipids, fatty acids and proteins are the main organic components of fish. These components are important as being the
sources of metabolic energy needed for growth, reproduction and movement including migration. Also long chain
highly unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids play critical physiological role in the diet of human and animals. Occurring huge
amounts and unique make omega-3fatty acids popular for a long time. Another causative effect that make them
important is the need of investigation of nutritional necessarities of aquaculture fish. It was compiled some information
about fish lipids, fatty acids and some specific metabolic functions of these components in fish.
