In Turkey, the distance learning process, which was passed due to the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, is also applied in higher education institutions that provide art education. Teaching methods, which are practical and practical in many areas of art education, were also affected by the process. During the process, administrators, academicians and students working in institutions that provide vocational arts education have been involved in this process. In this study, a quantitative survey model was conducted to determine the beliefs of academicians working in institutions providing vocational arts education about the effectiveness and benefit of distance education. The main purpose of the study has been to reveal the views of academicians about the distance education process. In the study, academicians stated that distance education can progress mainly due to technical problems, lack of effective learning, lack of motivation, lack of participation and individual differences.
Türkiye’de, 2020 yılı Mart ayından itibaren tüm dünyada yaşanan salgın sebebiyle geçilen uzaktan eğitim süreci sanat eğitimi veren yüksek öğretim kurumlarında da uygulanmaktadır. Sanat eğitiminin birçok alanında uygulama ağırlıklı olan öğretim metotları da süreçten etkilenmiştir. Süreç içerisinde mesleki sanat eğitimi veren kurumlarda görev yapan idareciler, akademisyenler ve öğrenciler bu sürecin tarafları olmuşlardır. Bu araştırmada mesleki sanat eğitimi veren kurumlarda görev yapan akademisyenlerin pandemi sebebi ile geçilen uzaktan eğitimin etkinliğine ve yararına yönelik inançlarını belirlemek amacıyla tarama modelinde bir araştırma yapılarak akademisyenlerin süreç ile ilgili görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Akademisyenler, uzaktan eğitimin ağırlıklı olarak teknik problemler, etkin öğrenme eksikliği, motivasyon eksikliği, katılım yetersizliği ve bireysel farklılıklardan kaynaklanan problemlerle ilerleyebildiği yönünde görüş bildirmişlerdir.
