This study aims to examine parents' views on values education and applied task-oriented values education (TOVE). Prepared for this purpose, TOVE was conducted with thirty fifth grade students. TOVE, consists of seven months of training. In this process, students have grown flowers. In addition, 7 sessions were held to work with students and 4 times with parents. The research was carried out within phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods. The research group consists of a total of 19 students’ parents (7 male and 12 female). In the study, semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data were analyzed with the descriptive analysis method. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the students continued to do flower care after the study was completed. Parents defined values education as "education of values", "being moral", "social behavior education" and "being decent", respectively. According to the parents, they stated that values education is necessary "for the living of values", "for a good future", "for personal development", "for the life of the individual" and "for the peace of the society". Parents stated that they observed behavioral changes such as "ownership", "gaining responsibility", "sensitivity to flowers", "an investigative personality" during TOVE. All of the parents participating in the interview defined TOVE as a "useful activity". The reasons for expressing it as a useful activity were stated as "development of responsibility ", "increased interest in flowers" and "learning by doing". Students have gained from this process such as "having responsibility", "nothing will happen without effort", "ownership" and "being able to succeed".
