The Journal of Buca Faculty of Education at Dokuz Eylül University is an international peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to publish high-quality scientific studies in the fields of educational sciences and teacher education and to enhance their visibility at national and international levels. Within the scope of the journal, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, as well as systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and meta-syntheses, are published. For its December 2026 Special Issue, the Journal will accept original scientific studies under the theme of the “Year of the Family.” The aim of this special issue is to bring together studies that address the pivotal role of the family in child development, educational processes, school–family collaboration, social well-being, and societal development from diverse disciplinary perspectives and research approaches. Submissions to the special issue must be original and must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere. The submitted manuscripts are expected to be directly related to the theme, grounded in a strong theoretical framework, methodologically rigorous, and capable of contributing to practice and/or policy. Studies that provide theoretical, empirical, or practical contributions to the field, and that are prepared in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines, ethical principles, and publication policy, will be considered for review. Authors should follow the journal’s current guidelines and publication policy regarding language, formatting, and submission procedures. Original manuscripts submitted to the journal by September 1, 2026, will undergo editorial and peer review, and those accepted for publication will be included in the special issue. We cordially invite all research-based, original studies that address the relationship between family and education from a multidimensional perspective to submit to our special issue.
